GLASS ART
&
EMBROIDERY
Vanda’s background is in animal welfare and husband Peter’s in advertising. They are self taught glass artists having switched on the kiln just about ten years ago, working from their home based studio in Arundel, West Sussex. Their style is unique and their glass art has found its way to the four corners of the globe.
Vanda has painted since her teens, attending Harrow Art College before going on to become a veterinary nurse and subsequently manager of an animal hospital in London. Over the years she found time to develop her craft to encompass a number of different media. This includes, almost exclusively now, kiln formed fused glass, in collaboration with Peter, both having swapped life and work in London for a more measured and creative lifestyle in West Sussex.

Vanda's ink paintings, hand painted ceramics and embroideries feature bluebell woods, rape fields, daffodils, blossom and the many colours of autumn as well as the beauty and diversity of the English hedgerow.
Her embroideries of cats and dogs reflect her intimate knowledge of and love for small furry creatures and have become a popular feature of her work.
Over the past 10 years Vanda has, together with Peter, worked full time to bring their ideas for glass to fruition.
They have created a beautiful collection of free standing glass art pieces that echoes Vanda's other work and expresses their shared vision, inspired by the countryside around lovely Arundel, where they work and live.
